2001 grows a Mo!

     It's Movember! To show our support the characters of 2001- The Comic Strip are donin' the stache.

                                                What is Movember?

Movember is the global men's health charity engaging men to grow and women to support the Mo (moustache) for the 30 days of November.  Through the power of the moustache, awareness and funds are raised for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

Started in 2003, Movember is originally from Melbourne, Australia. This year 21 countries across five continents, including the US will be participating.

               2001-The Comic is heading for New York Comic Con (NYCC)

Xenon signs guestbook at USC DreamWorlds!

Thursday July 26- We got a sneak peak at USC Cinematic Arts new art exhibit... DreamWorlds: Behind the Scenes, Production Art from DreamWorks Animation.

'This exhibit draws from DreamWorks' twenty-four animated feature films, including Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and How To Train Your Dragon, along with the upcoming November 2012 release, Rise of the Guardians.  It includes more than one hundred digital prints and approximately thirty traditional paintings and drawings on paper; two miniature sets; three character maquettes; two set pieces - an 8' high Kung Fu Panda “Po” statue and the new Rise of the Guardians standee; and three media stations displaying animation tests, stereo footage, and the Rise of the Guardians trailer.'

Several famous animators, including: Tom Sito, signed the DreamWorlds guestbook.

                                           We decided to join them ^.^

The exhibition will be on display at USC School of Cinematic Arts Gallery/Steven Spielberg Building from July 30 through September 7. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM, and Sat., Aug 11, 9AM-5PM. (Closed Labor Day.)

Happy Web-A-Versary!

It's official! 1 year ago 2001-the comic made it debut online. To celebrate, were making Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches. Xenon wouldn't have it any-other way. ^^

The original strip was drawn in Fall 2001.  Xenon only eats Natural Peanut Butter, no substitutions!

This special was original written in February 2000, and finally re-mastered in January 2012. It's amazing how times have changed- Ten ago we were using VCR'S and now it's DVR's.
