Thursday July 26- We got a sneak peak at USC Cinematic Arts new art exhibit... DreamWorlds: Behind the Scenes, Production Art from DreamWorks Animation.
'This exhibit draws from
DreamWorks' twenty-four animated feature films, including Shrek,
Kung
Fu Panda,
Madagascar, and
How To Train Your Dragon, along
with the upcoming November 2012 release,
Rise of the Guardians. It includes more than one
hundred digital prints and approximately thirty traditional paintings and
drawings on paper; two miniature sets; three character maquettes; two set
pieces - an 8' high
Kung Fu Panda “Po” statue and the new
Rise of the
Guardians standee; and three media stations displaying animation tests,
stereo footage, and the
Rise of the Guardians trailer.'
Several famous animators, including: Tom Sito, signed the DreamWorlds guestbook.
We decided to join them ^.^

The exhibition will be on display
at USC School of Cinematic Arts Gallery/Steven Spielberg Building from July 30 through September 7. Gallery
hours are Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM, and Sat., Aug 11, 9AM-5PM. (Closed Labor
Day.)
